Initial Consultation

Description

This comprehensive initial consultation is designed to support both you and your baby with feeding in a personalized, hands-on way. Your session will include a full review of your intake and feeding history, along with a detailed assessment to better understand your unique needs. During your visit, we may cover: Breast and nipple assessment Pre- and post-weighted feed (to assess milk transfer) Infant oral function assessment Latch and positioning support Bottle feeding and/or pumping guidance Individualized care plan with recommendations and referrals as needed If concerns such as tongue or lip tie are suspected, appropriate referrals (e.g., pediatric dentist or healthcare provider) will be provided for further evaluation. You’ll leave with clear, practical strategies to support feeding at home, plus 2 weeks of email support for ongoing guidance and follow-up questions.
